Transfer Route Comparison

Enter the charges of two routes for the same amount. The winner is the one with the higher landed amount, not the lower fee.

The better route can change with the amount: fixed fees favour large transfers, percentage costs do not. Re-run at the amount you actually send.

The crossover amount

A route with a high fixed fee and a low margin wins on large transfers; a route with a low fixed fee and a higher margin wins on small ones. There is usually an amount where they cross. Finding it tells you which route to use for which payment.

Compare at the same moment

Rates move. A comparison made an hour apart can reverse the result. Pull both quotes within minutes and enter the margins you were actually offered.

Frequently asked questions

Does speed matter?

Sometimes. A same-day transfer can be worth a small cost difference if a payment deadline is at stake.

Are there hidden receiving fees?

Possibly. Add the receiving fee to the route you are testing if the destination bank charges one.
